Who doesn't love a Christmas cookie? George Strait certainly does. In this naughties country barnstormer, the neotraditional country trailblazer draws on a baked and delicious yuletide tradition that speaks to adults and children alike. Written by George Strait's go-to hit-maker Aaron Barker—who racked up a raft of chart-toppers for the Texan star ("Baby Blue," "Love Without End, Amen," and "Easy Come, Easy Go")—"Christmas Cookies" debuted in 2002 on George Strait's A Country Christmas classic. However, the song has popped up on several of his albums over the years, forming the icing on the cake of his 2016 30-track compilation, Strait For The Holidays—which is brimming with his versions of snow-sprinkled standards like White Christmas,"Deck The Halls," and Away In A Manager—as well as appearing on his 2021 album Strait to Christmas: Holiday Jams. "Christmas Cookies" celebrates all the sugary joy of the festive season.

Could use a few more George Strait Christmas tracks. A good present would be Away In A Manger. One of the best versions of this wonderful Christmas song I've ever heard. Please consider this. And Merry Christmas y'all.
