On their debut album, The Drug In Me Is You, Las Vegas post-hardcore heroes Falling in Reverse staked their claim as purveyors of murky rock tunes spiced with candied pop-punk. This 2011 album is their statement of intent, penned in a Nevada prison by frontman Ronnie Radke (he had been present during a shooting in May 2006 that led to the death of 18-year-old Michael Cook) only adds to the band's controversial reputation. "The Drug In Me Is You" leads the album as its highlight and title track, with lyrics written from prison, it's unsurprisingly littered with dark references and anxious moments. These come to a head in the chorus; "I've lost my goddamn mind, it happens all the time / I can't believe I'm actually meant to be here / Trying to consume, the drug in me is you / And I'm so high on misery, can't you see?," sings Ronnie Radke on this candid rock confessional.
