This album remains the best-selling Christmas / holiday album of all time in the United States, turning its entire tracklist into holiday standards. “Santa Claus is Back in Town” was written and produced by frequent Elvis Presley collaborators Jerry Leiber and Mike Stoller. It was paired with the B-side “Santa, Bring My Baby Back to Me” and released concurrently with the album. The single was a tremendous success, reaching Number 7 on the UK Singles Chart and Number 4 on the US Billboard Christmas Singles Chart.
