Blues favorite "Big Boss Man" was first recorded by Mississippi-born musician and songwriter Jimmy Reed in 1960, although the songwriting credits belong to Vee-Jay Records staff writer Luther Dixon and Jimmy Reed's manager, Al Smith. Jimmy Reed's recording of the foot-tapping 12-bar tune was included on his 1960 album Found Love, with Elvis Presley airing his version seven years later, on September 10, 1967. Elvis the Pelvis's offering of "Big Boss Man" – which has been covered by various other artists including The Pretty Things, Jerry Lee Lewis, B.B. King (who recorded the song for his 1985 album Six Silver Strings) Nancy Sinatra and the Grateful Dead – reached Number 38 on the singles chart and was first performed as part of a medley during the Elvis 1968 Comeback Special. This live recording captures some of the magic of Elvis Presley's historic performances in Las Vegas during the 1970s.

Drums need work but the rest seems pretty decent, but honestly the drums need to sound better with more fills and high hat.. This is supposed to be Ronnie Tutt on drums and that is what makes the song flow...
