Imagination - Earth, Wind & Fire - MP3 instrumental karaoke

After the death of their longtime producer and sound architect Charles Stepney in 1976, R&B, funk, and soul band Earth, Wind & Fire took the matter into their own hands and self-produced their seventh studio album Spirit, released in September of that year. Hailed as one of the group's quintessential recordings, Spirit was both a critical and commercial success, reaching Number 2 on the Billboard 200. It spawned the Number 1 single "Getaway," which topped the Billboard Hot Soul Songs chart. It also included the track "Imagination," which went on to become one of the most celebrated songs by the Chicago-based group. Written by Charles Stepney, Maurice White, and Philip Bailey, "Imagination" is a smooth R&B track featuring slick instrumentation, ornate brass arrangements, and the group's trademark multi-layered vocals. In the latter years, the song was sampled by rapper E-40 on his single "I Hope U Get This Kite."
