Omagh-born Irish country luminary Dominic Kirwan kicked off his singing career as part of the Melody Boys in 1979 and after winning a local radio competition, laid down his first album as a recording artist, Try A Little Kindness, in 1989. He spent the next forty years developing his voice across a string of releases, from 1991's Lord, I Hope This Day is Good to 2021's A Letter to You, taking in a plethora of singles along the way. This 2014 "Country Medley" was among the highlights on Dominic Kirwan's album 25 Years...To Be Continued, commemorating a milestone of 25 years in the country music business. The lively medley stitches together three tracks—"Oh Lonesome Me," first written and immortalised on wax in 1957, 1959 country favourite "Heartaches by the Number" written by Harlan Howard, and 1961 country top five "Sea of Heartbreak"—all recast in Dominic Kirwan's upbeat, feel-good mould.
