The vowel-averse US dance-pop group comprising Joe Jonas, drummer Jack Lawless, and guitarist JinJoo Lee came out of the shadows in 2022 after a four-year-long hiatus to deliver this delirious dispatch from the dancefloor. "Move," which marked the follow-up to their feature on Norwegian record producer and DJ Kygo's February 2022 single "Dancing Feet" – billed as their comeback single – stirs DNCE's trademark party flavours into a celebration of dancing and moving. Taking their cue from disco-funk as well as garage bands like Weezer and rockers like Led Zeppelin, DNCE pulled out all the stops for their self-titled debut album of 2016, which was predominantly written by Joe Jonas alongside a bevy of collaborators including Ilya Salmanzadeh, Rami Yacoub, Mattman & Robin, Justin Tranter, and Sir Nolan. The band have yet to release the follow-up, but it's thought that "Move" will be among the tracks lighting up their next record.
