After scoring a Number 1 record with their self-titled third album and winning Best Country Duo / Group Performance at the Grammys with their 2018 single "Tequila," it was evident that American country-pop duo Dan + Shay, consisting of singer-songwriters Dan Smyers and Shay Mooney, were at the peak of their powers. Following a chart-topping collaboration with Canadian pop juggernaut Justin Bieber on 2019's "10,000 Hours," the pair returned in 2021 with a fourth long-player titled Good Things, which reached Number 2 on Billboard's Top Country Albums chart and became the first country album in streaming history to achieve Gold status upon its release. Included in the album was "Steal My Love," a playful country-pop song about long-lasting love that reminisced '90s teen pop and entered Billboard's US Hot Country Songs at Number 26.
