Fictional rock 'n' roll band Daisy Jones & The Six flex their soft-rock muscle for this freewheeling cut from the soundtrack of the eponymous, Fleetwood Mac-inspired Amazon Original television series. Based on the 2019 novel of the same name by Taylor Jenkins Reid and set in the 1970s, Daisy Jones & The Six chronicles the ups and downs of the made-up band of the same name and stars Riley Keough and Sam Claflin. An exercise in bittersweet vocal harmonies, "Regret Me" takes the form of a sassy duet written by series protagonist Daisy Jones (Riley Keough) who sends out a fiery barb to bandmate Billy Dunne (Sam Claflin): “When you think of me, I hope it ruins rock’n’roll.” Released as its first single, "Regret Me" is one of the standout songs from the 2023 album AURORA, written and produced by Grammy nominee Blake Mills (along with the soundtrack) and featuring contributions from Jackson Browne, Marcus Mumford, and Phoebe Bridgers.
