Clarence Greenwood aka US singer-songwriter Citizen Cope may not have scored any notable commercial success with his bluesy 2002 jam "Sideways", but he was anointed with critical notoriety for the Jeff Buckley-recalling single. Known best for its oft-quoted refrain ("These Feelings Won't Go Away"), the open-hearted song was included on Santana's 2002 album Shaman – with whom he performed the track live on his 2003 European tour – with Citizen Cope then adding it to his own 2004 album, The Clarence Greenwood Recordings. "Sideways" was later covered by artists including Sheryl Crow for her 2010 100 Miles from Memphis album and Corey Taylor.
