"White Wedding" is a song from English singer Billy Idol's 1982 self-titled studio debut. It was released as the album's second single on October 23, 1982, and reached Number 4 on Billboard's Mainstream Rock chart while also entering the Top 10 in Australia, Canada, and New Zealand. Written by Billy Idol and produced by Keith Forsey, "White Wedding" blurred the line between hard rock and post-punk, also drawing inspiration from Spaghetti Western soundtracks. The concept behind the lyrics, which depict a man having to witness his former lover tie the know with someone else, initially came from Billy Idol's sister's wedding. The track wouldn't reach the UK charts until its third release in 1985, peaking at Number 6. Even though "White Wedding" isn't Billy Idol's highest-charting hit, it eventually became one of his trademark songs. In the years that followed, it was covered by English pop group Herman's Hermits and by American metalcore band In This Moment.
