"Love on Top" is a song by American superstar Beyonce. The talented singer sails through several key changes on one of her most vocally challenging compositions. Lyrically, it's an exuberant exclamation of love, one that even contains a slight Jay-Z dig. "Nothing's perfect, but it's worth it / After fighting through my tears / And finally you put me first." The two have gone through ups and downs but remain one of music's power couples. "Love and Top" has a distinctive 80s boy band flavor. The look and choreography in the video was inspired by the video for New Edition's hit "If It Isn't Love." Founding bandmember Michael Bivins said, "When I saw Beyonce on the MTV awards in the sequined jacket this year and with the dancers in R&B group positions, I knew then she was showing love to NE!"
