"Just Between You and Me” is a song by the Canadian rock band April Wine. The band, which got together in 1969, got its first record deal by misinterpreting a rejection letter. Excitedly, the band packed up their gear and drove from Halifax to Montreal. Even though Aquarius Records had sent them a rejection letter based on their demo tape, the label was persuaded into signing them after meeting the guys. Since then, the band has released 16 studio albums, 15 compilation albums, and 9 live albums. The video for “Just Between You and Me” was the first video from a Canadian artist to play on MTV. It played on the very first day of broadcast, August 1, 1981.
