Canadian rock titan Pat Travers delivers a high-octane blues-rock anthem that electrifies with raw, uncompromising energy and the kind of scorching guitar skills with which he has built his reputation. The song "Boom Boom (Out Goes the Lights)" was originally written by Chicago blues musician Little Walter in the 1950s, but Pat Travers' live recording of the track turned it into one of his most well-known songs. Captured live during Pat Travers' peak in the late 1970s, this rendition of "Boom Boom (Out Goes the Lights)" displays the guitarist's technical mastery and charisma, along with the cohesive musical rapport of his group. The audience is thrown into an adrenaline-fueled rock 'n' roll frenzy as soon as Pat Travers' scorching guitar riff opens the song. "Boom Boom (Out Goes the Lights)" was first released on Pat Travers's debut self-titled album in 1976 but recorded live here in 1979.
