"We Two," a big soft-rock song, is the second track on Little River Band's 1983 album The Net and shows "You're The Voice" hit-maker John Farnham in his vocal element. "We Two" was released as a single from The Net, which reached number 22, was co-produced by the Australian group and Ern Rose, and marked the band's first full studio release to feature John Farnham as its new lead vocalist, replacing Glenn Shorrock. Stephen Housden was also newly employed as the band's lead guitarist while the album was their last to feature original member Beeb Birtles, and drummer Derek Pellicci, who would rejoin in 1987. Although the band failed to scale the heights set by 1977 chart-topper "Help Is On Its Way," the lead single from the group's third studio album,Diamantina Cocktail, "We Two" dazzles with understated, stripped-back charm while John Farnham's powerful voice lifts it to a higher plane.
