In This Moment's trademark fusion of heavy metal, industrial rock, and theatrical flare is on full display in the ferocious bite of "Big Bad Wolf." Originally released in 2014 as a part of their fifth studio album Black Widow, In This Moment immediately made a name for itself by electrifying audiences with its raw intensity and unwavering attitude. The band were formed in LA nearly ten years earlier by singer Maria Brink and guitarist Chris Howorth who then recruited drummer Jeff Fabb and started life as Dying Star. Black Widow was significantly the band's major-label debut for Atlantic Records, which was their first release from long-term label Century Media Records. "Big Bad Wolf" was initially leaked online in October 2014 and later appeared as a B-side on the "Sick Like Me" single, which was given a physical release. In June 2022, "Big Bad Wolf" achieved gold certification from the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA), shifting 500,000 copies in the US.
