Canadian national treasure Anne Murray began her professional recording career in 1968 with the debut album What About Me and logged a string of hits during the 1970s and 1980s that ensured her place in the pantheon of homegrown country stars. Over the course of 32 albums, she mastered a winning mix of radio-friendly pop-rock and country that led to four Grammy awards and various other significant accolades, including a Grammy nomination for Best Country Vocal Performance (Female) for "Walk Right Back," released in 1978 and included on her 12th studio album Let's Keep It That Way. The track was originally written by Sonny Curtis in 1961 and first recorded by The Everly Brothers, who entered the US Billboard Hot 100 Top 10 chart. For her 1970s version, Anne Murray upped the tempo and added more swing, resulting in one of her best-loved hits of the era. She notably went to number 12 on the pop chart and re-joined the country Top 10 again after four years with Let's Keep It That Way.
